Western themed parties are fun with country western music, BBQ foods, and wild west party games. So round up the kids to play these party games while listening to western party music.

At any western-themed party, there are two games that your group must play! The first game, “Circle the Wagons” is an active game that’s fun for children of all ages. Divide teams into two groups: wagons and bandits. The wagons should form a circle by holding hands. The bandit group will wait outside until the wagons are circled, then try to get inside the circle through the wagons. The wagon group should walk around in a circle so the bandits have a difficult time getting in. Swap groups and compare which group had the more sneaky bandits.

Another game to wrap up the evening is “Pony Express.” Have all players form a circle and put their hands behind their back. One player is chosen as the pony express rider and is given a small piece of paper as a letter. He will walk around the circle and deliver the letter to one of the players. He then takes off quickly running around the circle. But wait, he delivered the wrong letter! That player then has to run to catch up with him. If the postman gets to the empty seat before he is tagged, he is “safe at home.” The other runner will have to take over the deliveries for him and the game continues.

Bandanas make great party favors and prizes!

If you want to treat someone to a day of pampering, a spa party can be the perfect choice! Spa parties do not have to take place in a spa, though they certainly may. They are great choices for Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, or a special Birthday party. They keyword for a spa party is indulgence, and even if you do a spa party at home, you should include all your special guest’s favorite things.

A special spa treatment can be in your home. The show stealer is hiring a masseuse or masseur, and including things like a home made sugar scrub, avocado hair masque, and pedicure, throw in some wonderfully decadent food favorites and pampering extra effects, and your spa party is a sure show stealer.

Strawberries and chocolate, good for you food favorites such as veggies and dip, or pita sandwiches with champagne or wine, and you are on your way. Simply combine a few easy ingredients, spend a little time, and add special touches, and good for you indulgence is the recipe for success.
Combine avocado and olive oil for a great hair masque, apply it to hair and cover with a plastic cap and warm towel. Put feet into a warm Epsom salt and peppermint oil foot soak, and kick back with a drink and snacks.

Use a combination of coarse sugar granules and mineral oil to massage away dry, roughness on hands and feet. Wash hair and face, and relax with soothing music and good conversation. Give pedicures and even manicures, if you are up to the challenge, get the door when the massage therapist arrives, and follow up with herbal bath soaks. Use Lavender essential oil and float lavender or rose petals on the top, add scented candles and warm, fluffy towels. The piece de’la resistance is a gift basket containing home labeled bottles and jars of the various masques, scrubs, bath additives, bath sponges, and a cozy terry robe that can be taken home afterwards. The spa experience can, of course, be taken to a spa, but these personalized touches make it extra special for everyone.

If you have a gymnast at your house or a child who is full of energy, a gymnastics birthday party might be the hottest ticket! You can hold your gymnastics birthday party at a local gym or create your own gymnastics arena at home.

Invitations:

Use gymnastics invitations to get your guests ready to tumble, jump and run! Be sure to include the date, time and location–whether it’s your own home or a local gym, and let them know if they should dress in casual wear (shorts, t-shirts, leotards, etc.)

Local Gymnasium:

If you decide to use a local gymnasium for your gymnastics party, talk to other parents or check the listings in your area to find out the best facility for your party. Ask each facility about pricing, how many guests are allowed, availability of dates and times, privacy (will other events be going on or will you have the facility to yourself?) and what the gym provides (a room for opening gifts, eating cake and ice cream; table favors, etc.) Also be sure to ask what apparatuses will be available for your guests to use and if gymnastics coaches will be on hand to help the children and ensure their safety.

Creating your own gym at home:

If you decide to create your own gymnastics arena at home, choose a spacious living or family room, free from furniture and other objects that could be an obstacle. If the weather permits, you may even choose to create a “gym” outside. You can purchase relatively inexpensive exercise mats to be used for tumbling. A balance beam can be made of a long wooden plank, supported by two cinder blocks and positioned close to the ground to ensure safety. A backyard trampoline or even a mini-trampoline can simulate those used in gymnasiums.

Gymnastics Party Decor:

Whether decorating a room at a local gymnasium or a room at home, you can use balloons and streamers in your child’s favorite colors or go with an Olympic theme–using red, white and blue. For an eye-catching centerpiece, use a large, inflatable gold trophy. Your child’s birthday cake can be decorated like an American flag or you can place cupcakes with red, white and blue frosting in the shape of Olympic rings.

Activities:

A local gymnasium will typically allow party guests to try out the different gymnastics apparatuses (under supervision): bars, balance beam, ball pit, trampoline, ropes, tumbling mats, as well as offering “free time” for the children to return to their favorites. Some gyms may even have organized games and activities as part of their gymnastics party package. If you are doing a gymnastics party at home, you can use your original apparatuses for obstacle courses, games or individual events. You can award gold, silver and bronze medals to the top three finishers in each category (making sure each child places and receives a medal on at least one gymnastics event).

Party Favors:

Obtain small, plastic trophies ahead of time. After the events are over, award a trophy to each child by writing the individual awards on sticky labels (i.e. “Zachary Smith–Most acrobatic” or “Lindsay Larsen–Best balance.”) and placing them on each trophy. Along with the trophies and medals, fill each child’s gymnastics party loot bag with red, white and blue candy, pom-poms, pens, pencils, erasers, or American flags. Gymnastics parties are a fun and creative way to celebrate your child’s birthday. These ideas can help you create a gymnastics party your child and his/her friends will remember!
Read more about this and other topics related to wedding countdown timer

NHL hockey is back! With the new season comes a really cool new party supplies line that will make throwing the perfect hockey party seem like a breeze. I also have some great ideas to throw the ultimate street hockey birthday party regardless of the season! Winter or Summer, on snow or on pavement – a hockey fan is a hockey fan!

Invitations: Take a picture of the birthday child in their hockey gear for the front of the invitation. Make it a really cool pose with a hockey stick or in front of a net because this is going to made into a trading card invitation! Using card stock paper, trace out the accurate size of a trading card and then glue the pic onto it. On the back of the card instead of the stats, write the party information. Use your computer and some really cool black font for this. The last step would be to laminate or “mac tack” the card. You could hand them out as is or take it one step further. Along with the card, you could send a letter from the NHL Hockey League stating that they have been drafted by the NHL and they are required to report for practise along with their teammates from all across the country. Be sure to include the date, time and request that they come prepared with stick & jersey. Sign it by the president of the NHL or the head coach of your child’s favourite team place in an envelope and seal. Don’t forget the clip art logos to make it look super official!

Activities: A street hockey game of course! When all of the guests arrive, have a meeting in the locker room and tell them what they will be doing for their first day of practise. Take a moment to explain the rules of a street hockey game and the importance of good sportsmanship. Then surprise them with their very own jersey name plates. Before the party, use your computer to write out each child’s last name in bold print and laminate. As you call out names, pin each name tag to the back of the child’s jersey and assign them a team by pulling names or colours out of a hat. Have a few jerseys on hand in case some come without. Once everyone is geared, up, it is time to head out. The prep for the playing field would be 2 nets on opposite ends with the center line and the goalie crease lines marked out. On dry pavement this can be done with chalk and on snow this can be done with watered done poster paint. Face Off! Have some referees with whistles and cheerleaders with Pom Poms. Make sure to have plenty of water and sports drinks available. Have a fire blazing in a portable fire pit to warm up on a cold Winters day and a Sprinkler set up for the kids to run through on the hottest summer day. You really can have a hockey party all year round! If weather does not allow you to be outside or if you simply prefer the party to be indoors try these fun games and activities. Have an indoor hockey tournament using an air hockey table or a rod hockey table. If you don’t already have a table, chances are you know someone who does. Play “slapshot” using a goal, a stick but instead of a puck or ball, use a beach ball. It won’t hurt even if it does hit something or someone! Keep the net empty and the shooter about 15 feet back. Its harder than you might think! Be sure to have a hockey game playing on TV and a separate area set up with a gaming system like Wii or PlayStation where they can play their favourite hockey game.

Decorations: Even though the premise of this plan is to be outdoors most of the time, it still is fun to decorate one area of your house that may be used like the kitchen, where the food and cake are served, or the living room where the presents are opened. Decorate with the NHL licensed tableware and decorations. Decorate your walls with hockey memorabilia like posters, pictures and pennants. Place around old pucks, helmets, skates, jersey’s or sticks that are not in use to give it that real locker room feel. Finish the decorations off with balloons and streamers in your child’s favourite teams colours.

Menu: Go with stadium food. Serve hot dogs in foil , nachos in take out boxes and french fries out of paper cups. Keep it simple. This way the guests can eat indoors, outdoors or on the go. You might just have to drag them in for cake and presents though!

Loot Bags: Throw a twist into the regular tradition of the loot bag. Have an auction of sorts. Have a table full of items that the kids can purchase with their hockey money. Purchase a variety of favors like candy, pucks, hockey trinkets and even a few bigger ticket items. The idea would be for every kid to have around the same amount of money at auction time – $2000. The first time they receive money is when they arrive – Their $500 signing bonus. Throughout the game give $100 bonuses for sportsmanship, good manners and teamwork. Monopoly money works great. The actual cost of the items can rage from .99 to $5.00. For example, the .99 items should cost $100 in hockey money and the $5.00 items costing the whole $2000 in hockey money. Some kids may go all in for 1 item, and some may choose several small. The key is to have a wide variety of all price ranges. Pick names out of a hat to see who goes first and in what order. To be fair, have them choose only 1 item, whether its big or small. Keep going in order until everyone is out of money. Last of all, make sure to explain the auction well beforehand to avoid any confusion. The excitement level will be unbelievable as everyone is going home a winner!

Looking for a place to hold your companies next event, or maybe you are planning a wedding or party and looking for that special location. Has an event tent ever entered into your planning thoughts?

Whether you would like to buy event tents or even rent one, event tents provide many advantages over the typical brick and mortar type buildings. The crowds won’t parade through your house, and generally there is more room and less cleanup afterwards, not to mention it will inject new life into your parties.

There are many resources for purchasing event tents, whether it be online or at your local party supply warehouse. Event tents come in all shapes and sizes and for all occasions such as concerts, conventions, weddings, revivals, or parties.

The first information that you will need is the number of guests that will be attending your event. Whether you want an open and airy type feeling or more of a private intimate type of ambience, there are many styles to choose from.

It is highly recommended that you consult with a professional before deciding what type of event tents that will be best suited for your needs, with the two most popular styles being framed tents or pole tents.

Starting with framed tents the thing that sets them apart from other types is there open airy feels of up to 40 feet in width. They have professional looking interiors and are very rugged and lavish.

Pole tents usually have majestic peaks, and are good for full sized festivals or something as simple as a tent sale. The big difference that pole tents have compared to framed tents are the support poles that are found through the centers.

There are many uses for event tents and are purchased by a diverse demographic. Rental tents are sound investments and provide an excellent source of revenue for Party Rental Companies. Golf Clubs, Hotels, and tourist Resorts often purchase tents as an extension of their special event and catering services.

Many companies purchase tents and incorporate their company graphics or signage to promote their business and products. High Schools, Colleges, Universities, and the Military also use tents for athletic events and orientations.

Whether your decision is to buy event tents or rent them they are an inexpensive way to add style to your event whilst providing shelter from both the sun and rain. Tents look great for any occasion and can be custom made to suit any type of situation that may arise.

Look diligently in stores and over the internet for bargains on new and used event tents. There are many discounts and promotions going on nowadays so it will certainly be worth it if you look around. Not only will you be able to get a good price but you will also be able to get a good design on something that will fit your needs perfectly.

The main thing to consider when deciding to buy event tents or rent them is to enjoy yourself and create an impression on your guests that will last a lifetime to come.
About the Author: Read more about this and other topics related to baby shower favors

Elaborate parties and special occasions deserve the added time and effort to create special mural and party scene setters. For a small investment in terms of paint, brushes, plywood and crown molding a very dramatic affect can be accomplished. A labor intensive effort – yes but an impossible task: no. An ordinary person with basic hand tools and minimal skills can create a beautiful backdrop which will turn an otherwise bleak basement or garage into anything the imagination can conjure.

This does call for some small amount of planning and preparation but the results will be worth the effort. First things first: decide on a party theme. This should be a fairly involved theme. Instead of just choosing a favorite cartoon character choose a favorite cartoon featuring a favorite cartoon and so on. This will allow for more elaborate mural and party scene setters. Then find lots of reference photos. These will need to be scanned or downloaded and printed. Next choose a color scheme that can be easily reflected in paper party goods and other decorations to draw the overall party d?cor together.

Next decide on the scale of the objects to be created. Then draw a grid on the reference photo or photos. Draw a corresponding grid on the pre-constructed mural and party scene setters which reflect the desired scale. One fourth inch to one inch for instance or one inch to one foot for a larger piece. Then use some method of transferring each square on the reference print to the corresponding grid on the larger work. Many with artistic leanings can sketch these freehand others may want to use an enlarging projector. Some printers can enlarge the reference picture in segments that can be traced using carbon paper.

Then just paint. Voila! The basement is Camelot!
About the Author: Read more about this and other topics related to automated blogs

These two Disney Princess party games are sure to cause a fit of the giggles amongst your guests. So be sure to have plenty of room to roll around holding your stomach at this party.

The first game called ‘Cinders Slippers’ is a perfect fit for this Disney Princess party. As each of the guests arrive have them remove one shoe and place it in a pile of other guest’s shoes in the center of the room. Be sure to remind everyone to wear good socks if they don’t plan on wearing sandals.

Then after everyone has arrived tell everyone to grab a shoe from the pile. It can’t be their own shoe. At your mark everyone has to run around trying to find the owner of the shoe they are holding. The last person to be matched with a shoe is the winner and gets a prize for being Cinderella or Cinderfella at this fun Disney Princess party.

For this next game called, ‘Steal a Gift’ you’ll need one gift for everyone at the party and a pair of dice for each group. If you want you can theme the gifts after the Disney Princess party and have items like tiaras and magic wands. You’ll want to divide your party into three groups with an equal number of gifts piled in the center of each group. One player in each group takes a turn rolling the dice. If the player rolls a 7 or an 11 they get to take one gift for themselves from the pile. Then the next player in the group rolls and so on. If any player rolls two 1’s or two 6’s then they must return one gift to the pile if they have one. Once a group has run out of disney princess gifts in their pile then the players can snatch a gift from another group’s pile if they roll the 7 or 11 and vice versa.

You’ll set a time limit for all of this gift stealing of about 10 minutes. At the end of the time the players get to pick one gift of their choosing from the piles they’ve managed to amass. This works better if you mix in a few really good gifts with the rest of the gifts. If there are any players without gifts, as there are likely to be, they must wait until everyone has picked their gifts from their piles and then choose from the left over disney princess party gifts. If there are a lot of players without gifts have each roll the dice to decide which order they will go in to pick a gift from the leftover piles. You are sure to develop a lot of competition at your next Disney Princess party.
About the Author: Read more about this and other topics related to wedding countdown clock

An event planner who helps brides and grooms plan their special day is called a wedding consultant, wedding planner, wedding coordinator or a bridal consultant. This planner specializes in planning weddings professionally.

Using a wedding consultant to plan your wedding day had always been viewed as a luxury that only the rich and famous enjoyed. This is not so much the case anymore and the number of people using wedding planners continues to rise every day.

Planning a wedding can be like a full time job if a bride decides to go it alone. This type of event involves a lot of time with so much to learn and do and often not enough time to do it all. This event planner has to be highly organized and always knows what to do if things go wrong. He/she knows exactly who to contact when the need arises.

A professional wedding planner has to be extremely creative by nature. He or she also needs to have a very good sense of style and know what trends are current and which ones are outdated. The event planner also needs to have a personality that connects well with clients in order to understand them and to have a clear picture of their personal and specific needs for their special day.

A good event planner has lots of connections with the best vendors and works at getting his/her client the best value for their money. There is usually a budget to maintain and endless details tailored to the bride and groom. A wedding planner can also save the bride and groom a lot of money as well as time. This is because they usually know which vendors are reasonably prized and the quality of work involved. The event planner is usually in a better position to negotiate and get discounts from vendors they have worked with before.

Event planners will help their clients avoid disasters at their functions because they oversee all of the operations of the day to the last detail. Should there be an emergency at the event, the planner is usually better prepared to deal with the crisis rather than having the client try to figure out what to do.

The costs involved in hiring such a professional may be surprisingly affordable given the amount of details they have to work with. Planners also tailor their cost according to the client’s budget and help them to stay within their budget.

Without a wedding planner on hand, many brides and grooms run themselves ragged as the wedding day approaches. Some couples have even complained of not enjoying their wedding day because of the stress. An event planner comes in handy at this point because the couple has nothing to worry about since all the details are taken care of. The end result of having an event planner or a wedding consultant, in this case, is well worth it. The clients end up with a stress free day and they are able to enjoy every moment of their special occasion.
Read more about this and other topics related to battery backup
